Confidential Flier 10–24-09
Monday, November 2nd, 2009Painted Mannequin
Friday, October 9th, 2009
This project was done completely in Photoshop and was brought on by my urge for painting. I used to be a semi-talented painter when I was an early teen, then proceeded to drop it for more important things like High School, sports, and chasing girls.
Now the urge to paint again has bubbled to the surface, but I do not yet have paints, so I settled for the next best thing…Photoshop. I started with a pretty cool stock image of 2 mannequins and a very shallow depth of field. I started by using the art history brush to paint over the mannequins, and I made a few layers of the art history brush getting smaller and smaller. Then came the more fun part of using some custom Photoshop brushes to ‘paint’ over that and give it a more real painted look. After that was time for some grungy brushes to add some more texture. Then came the colorful background done in the same fashion to add some flair.
I’m very pleased with how this turned out, and hopefully someday soon I can actually create this using real paints…

EnterpriseMailer
Saturday, July 18th, 2009
This project was done while at Quexion for its email marketing service, EnterpriseMailer. This site was redesigned to provide a more simplified interface and show important information about the product easier. Another goal of this site redesign was to add more call to action to get users to sign up for a trial account or call in to ask questions.
I am very pleased with how the site turned out with a very clean and uncluttered design. This site was done in .NET with semantic and valid XHTML and CSS with jQuery to enhance the user experience.
